Hindu College The imposing Hindu College has humble beginnings, and it originally began in a small building in Kinari Bazaar in Delhi's Chandni Chowk. Hindu College has seen enviable growth over the years. Hindu College offers facilities for a large number of courses in sciences, humanities and social sciences. The strength of Hindu College is not just its building and facilities but its congenial and enriching atmosphere which is conducive to attaining excellence. FACTS
One of its first students was Sir Shri Ram, who went on to become the Chairman of the College Governing Body.

In 1902, the Punjab University threatened to de-affiliate the college if it didn't acquire a building of its own. This was no mean threat,
and Rai Bahadur Lala Sultan Singh came forward and donated a part of his
property in Kashmir Gate to the College.
The Hindu College campus as it is today, was acquired in 1953.
During the Freedom Struggle, the Hindu campus was the hotbed for debates about Indian Independence. While the Quit India Movement was underway in 1942, the College was closed down when Gandhi's call led students and teachers to participate in the Movement.

Indraprastha, the college magazine, publishes articles by students and reviews of the educational, cultural, and social and sports activities of the college. Each section of the magazine is edited by a Student Editor under the supervision of a member of the teaching staff.
